What inspired the recovery suite?
For years I cared for postoperative patients in hotels and Airbnbs—either visitors from out of town or local residents with young children at home. While those accommodations can work in some cases, they often require patients to pack supplies, rent equipment, set up a recovery area in an unfamiliar place, and prepare their own meals.
Some patients don’t want a group recovery house but do want continuous, private nursing care. That inspired the Recovery Suite. I converted part of my home into a dedicated recovery space with two separate rooms, thoughtfully planned so patients don’t have to worry about anything: everything they need is provided, and a nurse is available around the clock.
